The Kano State Ministry of Health disclosed this on Monday night shortly after the address by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) announcing the extension of lockdown by another two weeks in Abuja as well as Lagos and Ogun States.
“As at 7:45pm, two additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Kano State. The total number of cases now in Kano State stands at three,” the state’s health ministry tweeted on Monday night, adding that there has not been any discharge case or death in the state.
Other states in the North-West region with COVID-19 cases are Kaduna and Katsina with six and five cases respectively while there are no reported case in Jigawa, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control as of Sunday, there are 323 total confirmed cases in the country while 85 recoveries and 10 deaths have been recorded.
