Several Chelsea fans seem unconvinced by Thomas Lemar amid speculation that he has been offered to the west London club.
According to the Evening Standard, Atletico Madrid have offered Chelsea the chance to sign the 24-year-old for 50m. The Spanish giants are also said to be open to a 5m loan deal before selling permanently for the previously mentioned price.
Lemar is thought to be keen on a transfer to Stamford Bridge in a move that could give him the chance to get his career back on track. The French winger has really struggled this season, failing to score in any of his 15 La Liga appearances. Likewise, Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley has also failed to register in a league game this term, hence the comparison made by one supporter.
Lemar is said to be a cheaper alternative to Crystal Palaces Wilfried Zaha, who is a reported target for Chelsea, so the Blues could yet be enticed by Atletico Madrids proposition.
However, should that be the case, they could face competition from rivals Tottenham for the France internationals signature (also per Evening Standard).
