Uzodimma donates 100 new vehicles, gadgets to fight insecurity

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has presented 100 new security vehicles and 1, 500 communication gadgets to the Operation Search and Flush (SAF). Presenting the items to head of the security outfit, Brig.- Gen. R. T. Utsaha in Owerri, yesterday, Uzodimma restated his administration’s zero tolerance for crime, adding that he would soon involve the state vigilantes to complement the security architecture to rid the state of crime and criminality.

The governor also commended the security officers for their efforts to tackle insecurity and promised to continually support them for effective service delivery.

Uzodimma, who cautioned criminal elements to stay away from Imo State, charged the security operatives to make judicious use of the equipment and ensure that the government’s objective on security was achieved.x

Commiserating with families of officers, who were killed during the recent attacks, Uzodimma said: “No matter what happened, the gallantry of the officers have never been in doubt.”

Responding, Utsaha commended the governor for the gesture, stressing that it would enhance their commitment in guaranteeing the safety of life and property of Imo people.
