I’m worth more than €100 million, says Osimhen

The striker for the Nigeria national team, Victor Osimhen, has garnered media attention once more due to his recent remarks regarding his market value and his experiences at Galatasaray, his current club.

Osimhen discussed his new colleagues and the €100 million price tag that has been attached to him in an interview with the club's official outlets.

Osimhen, who signed a contract with Galatasaray in the last few days of the transfer window, expressed belief in his own ability.

Few players in modern football have the qualities and success that I have, thus in my opinion, I'm worth more than $100 million.

The former star of Napoli stated that he recognises everyone's right to their own opinion, even though some may not agree with such an assessment.

Additionally, the striker spoke positively about his transition to Turkish football and life in Istanbul. “Istanbul is a crazy city with incredible fans. I’m very happy,” Osimhen remarked, highlighting his satisfaction with the move.
Osimhen spoke on his relationship with Dries Mertens while talking about his new teammates, stating, "I've spent a lot of time with Mertens, he's incredible." He never fails to inspire me, and I hold great significance for him and his family.

Regarding fellow striker Mauro Icardi, Osimhen expressed consideration for his new colleague's standing within the team. "Icardi is a legend here, and I've known him for a long time." With his goals and assists, he will be a huge asset to us," he said.

A senior Galatasaray official has, however, refuted rumours that Osimhen would leave the team during the January transfer window.

Ibrahim Hatipoglu, the deputy vice chairman of Galatasaray, stated that the outstanding striker from Nigeria will not be leaving in January.

"It is impossible that Osimhen will go in January. The top Galatasaray official told Radyspor, "He will be with us until June; in fact, we are planning for him to be in our team in the following seasons as well."
