JUST IN: Syria first lady diagnosed with leukaemia

Asma, the wife of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, has been diagnosed with leukaemia, the president's office announced on Tuesday. Asma had recovered from breast cancer in 2019.

A statement was released stating, "First Lady Asma al-Assad has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia."
