My dreams of lifelong marriage have taken different direction – Mabel Makun

Mabel Makun, the well-known Nigerian comedian AY's wife, has clarified that she has hope in a better future and that her quiet regarding their recent breakup should not be interpreted as a sign of weakness.

She was also sorry that her aspirations of having a lifetime marriage had not turned out as planned.

This was revealed in a post she made on her Instagram account on Wednesday, when she also showed her appreciation for the encouraging words she got from friends and family.

Despite their separation, Mabel claimed that the father of her children, with whom she had spent years of dating, should be treated with some respect.

"Many lies have been spread about me and attacks have been planned on social media, but I will honour my kids with my silence and not address any of these lies.
"I'm dedicated to going forward with grace and fortitude, even though my dreams of a lifetime marriage have changed.

"I believe that the children's and my futures will be better. I'm reassured that everything will work out in spite of the gossip and preconceived notions.

Even though this is not how I had anticipated things to finish, I humbly turn to my religion for direction as I begin this new chapter of my life.

Furthermore, while we negotiate this new development, I kindly ask for your assistance in fostering an environment of mutual respect and understanding. It's a difficult time, and I kindly need your understanding and privacy as my ex-husband and I figure out our own next steps. My best wishes are with him in this journey as well.”
Ayo Makun, also known as AY, verified the development on April 7, 2024, in a post that was published on his Instagram profile on Sunday.

He claimed that because of his "deep personal family issues," he was at a point where he could no longer amuse the public.

In November 2008, AY Makun wed Mabel, and the two became parents to two kids together.
