Veteran Kannywood Actress Saratu Gidado Passes Away At 56

Saratu Gidado, a veteran Kannywood actress who was affectionately called Daso, went away at the age of 56.

Daso was discovered dead on Tuesday morning, according to family members of the late actress who spoke with Freedom Radio and verified the tragic information.

The grieving family members said that Daso was found dead after she went back to bed after Sahur, the pre-dawn meal eaten in Ramadan prior to fasting.

Daso, who was born in Kano on January 17, 1968, made her mark on history with her outstanding performances, especially in comedic parts where she played characters who were bold and mischievous.
