Arsenal ready €100m Osimhen bid

According to Italian journalist Ciro Venerato, Victor Osimhen will almost certainly end up at Arsenal. The Premier League's biggest teams are prepared to bid €100 million for the Nigerian striker, which is €30 million less than the release clause Napoli placed in his most recent contract.

The president of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has stated unequivocally that offers below his release clause will not be considered. This would beat the transfer record held by Arsenal, which stands at £105 million for Declan Rice last summer. Arsenal, however, is hoping to get a deal for a lower price, perhaps £85 million or €100 million. "[Arsenal] will now try with the Nigerian [who aspires to play in the Premier League], but they won't pay the hefty sum required by the clause—rather, a smaller sum,” continued Venerato. “Napoli will have to evaluate the pros and cons.”
Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig, Arsenal's first target, has committed to the team for another year, forcing them to consider other options in lieu of acquiring the firepower required to contend with Manchester City and snap their two-decade Premier League title drought.

Following Sesko's decision, Arsenal has also focused on Artem Dovbyk of Girona, who finished first in La Liga with 24 goals last season. But rumours out of Italy indicate that a higher-profile signing is reportedly in the works. Victor Osimhen is the man.

Osimhen aspires to play in the Premier League and has publicly stated his desire for a fresh challenge. Arsenal may find him to be an alluring prospect given his stellar record, which includes 26 league goals in the 2022–23 campaign that helped Napoli win their first Serie A championship since 1990.

Not only are Chelsea and PSG expressing their admiration for the Gunners, but they also need to replace Kylian Mbappe, who has joined Real Madrid.

Osimhen, who is 25, is starting to reach his prime and has shown that he can guide a group to victory. With his arrival, Arsenal might finally be able to defeat Manchester City and return the Premier League trophy to North London.

However, there are hazards. Due to the substantial financial commitment, Arsenal may find themselves in a risky situation if the deal collapses or if Osimhen is unable to adjust to life in the Premier League. In addition, Arsenal needs to move quickly and decisively because Chelsea and PSG are among the other teams involved.
