Gunmen kidnap school pupils in Ekiti community

In Ekiti State's Emure Local Government Area, a number of schoolchildren has reportedly been kidnapped by gunmen.

Students from Apostolic Faith School were involved in the incident, according to a post made by Ekititrends on its X account on Tuesday.

They were allegedly abducted on Monday night while riding their school bus from Emure, Ekiti, to Eporo, Ekiti.

According to reports, gunmen in Ekiti State slain two traditional rulers on Monday.

The incident happened in the Ajoni Local Government Area, specifically between Oke-Ako and Ipao-Ekiti.

Attacks occurred on the victims' way back from a meeting. They were recognised as the Elesun of Esun Ekiti in Ajoni, Ikole Local Government Area, and the Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area.
