Iwuanyanwu for burial Nov 1

It is imperative that internaOn November 1, Emmanual Iwuanyanwu, the late President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, will be laid to rest.

Not long after Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo inaugurated it, the National Burial Committee made this announcement in Abuja.

Both serving and non-serving senators from the South-East were present for the inauguration, which took place in Abuja on Tuesday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that on July 25, Iwuanyanwu, a businessman, politician, and philanthropist, passed away. He was well-known for his substantial contributions to a number of national sectors.

After the committee was established, Uzodinma, who is also the Chairman of the South-East Governors' Forum, briefed reporters, explaining that the group's purpose was to provide the late Ohaneze Ndigbo President-General with a dignified funeral.

"The national committee for our great leader's funeral, Iwuanyanwu, the Ndigbo people's most recent president-general, has been formed.
He stated, "The goal is to give him the very fitting funeral that his status deserves."
Speaking as well, Sen. Ben Obi, the committee chairman, said that the late Iwuanyanwu would be laid to rest on November 1.

He said that the late Ndigbo leader was a global citizen and that he was an exceptional person in all spheres of human endeavour.

We as a people, working with organisations like Afenifere, PANDEF, Middle Belt Forum, and Arewa Consultative Forum, are proud of the sacrifices he made on behalf of the Igbo country, and we will make sure he is given a dignified funeral.

"They have decided with the Anglican Church Primate that he will be buried on November 1st, and we appreciate that Uzodinma has made it possible for us to meet." Obi stated, "We'll make sure it's an appropriate funeral.

"They have given us confidence that this committee will be given all the necessary support," he said, expressing gratitude for the governor of Imo and the other governors in the South-East.(NANO)
