JUST IN: Wike Issues Ultimatum To Abuja Technology Village Land Encroachers
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has given those who built structures at Abuja Technology Village without permission until they leave or face the wrath of the law.
While visiting the location in Pyakasa, Abuja, on Monday with the Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, the minister disclosed this.
The minister for the Federal Capital Territory claims that in 2015, the Federal Government offered the illegal occupiers a settlement and ordered them to leave.
But the dwellings continued to proliferate, necessitating the necessity for strong measures to spread the government's message.
The minister of science and technology, for his part, clarified that the Federal Government is trying to adopt emerging technologies, which makes the Abuja Technology Village a highly desirable place to house them. As a result, the government needs to mark the area to draw investors and further its objectives.
