Osimhen bags AIC Footballer of the Year award

Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, won the Italian Footballers' Association Footballer of the Year award for his outstanding play with the Neopolitans in the previous campaign.

In addition to the team, coach, club, and goal of the season awards, there were other honors given out at the Monday night ceremony.

Osimhen's 26 goals played a significant role in the Partenopei's first Scudde in thirty-three years.
The Nigerian has also received numerous award nominations for this achievement, including the FIFA Best and Balon d'Or.

Alongside Mike Maignan, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Kim Min-jae, Andrea Bastoni, Stanislav Lobotka, Stan Hernández, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Nicolo Barella, Rafael Leão, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, he was also named to the Serie team of the year.

With six goals from 10 games played so far in the 2023–24 campaign, Osimhen has maintained his excellent goals-per-game ratio despite a more difficult start to the season and recent injury struggles.
