Based on club coefficient rankings, an equal number of seeded and unseeded clubs are placed together. Certain teams cannot be drawn against each other due to restrictions.

Ten teams were divided into five seeded and five unseeded groups for the Champions Path. Four teams were split into two seeded and two unseeded groups in the league path.
