2027: Atiku, Tinubu, and Peter Obi should step down; we need fresh faces - Kenneth Okonkwo

Kenneth Okonkwo, a former spokesman for the Labour Party (LP) presidential campaign council, has accused Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, the former PDP presidential candidate, and President Bola Tinubu of resigning before the 2027 elections.

Okonkwo emphasised that Tinubu, Obi, and Atiku had failed Nigerians and that they are therefore unfit to run in the 2027 election.

In an interview with Arise TV, the Nollywood star also attacked the opposition for not uniting and forming a coalition to oppose the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Okonkwo stated: "I have said that Atiku, Peter Obi, and Tinubu should move down because I absolutely agree with you that we need fresh faces, 100%.

"The reason is that both the opposition and the ruling party have failed. Do you know that the number of opposition MPs in the House of Representatives exceeds that of the ruling class?

"What I'm saying is that after an election, you don't just stop talking about it and move on to the next one. To cooperate as the opposition, you gather strength and create alliances amongst yourselves.

"The speaker and vice would have been produced if all of the opposition members in the House of Representatives had banded together."
