Abuja electricity gives debtors 72 hours to settle bills
If customers do not pay their outstanding bills within the next 72 hours, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has threatened to cut off their electricity supply.
The payment deadline is June 3, 2024, on Monday.
This is in line with a statement released on Friday by AEDC's acting managing director, Victor Ojelabi.
In order to maintain AEDC's infrastructure and improve its ability to provide continuous service to the community, Ojelabi stated that "the timely payment of electricity bills remains crucial."
"Customers who are yet to settle their outstanding bills within the next 72 hours will face disconnection of their electricity supply," he said, highlighting the significance of meeting payment deadlines.
AEDC reaffirmed the company's dedication to offering dependable and efficient service, but cautioned that timely payment of electricity bills is necessary for this to happen.
It is recommended that customers who have unpaid bills settle their accounts right away to prevent service interruptions.
