BREAKING: NECO releases 2024 Unity schools’ examination results
The National Examination Council has revealed the 2024 Common Entrance Examination results for Unity schools, and no fewer than 13 candidates received a score of 0.
This was disclosed by Dr. Yusuf Sununu, the Minister of State for Education, during a press conference regarding the exam results on Tuesday.
Recall that on Saturday, June 1, 2024, 71,291 candidates took part in the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), which was held in 599 centres.
According to data supplied by NECO, Lagos State led the field with 17,751 candidates, followed by the Federal Capital Territory (10,209 candidates) in second place and Anambra State (4,972 candidates) in third.
Sununu reports that 66,931 applicants were present and 4,360 candidates were not present.
The minister mentioned that one candidate scored the highest score of 203 out of the obtainable score of 210.
He also noted that the admission process will be based on 60% merit as usual.
