BREAKING: Police teargas protesters at Eagle Square

A few #ENDBADGOVERNMENT protestors were tear-gassed by police on Thursday morning in the vicinity of Eagles Square, Abuja.

Witnesses to the event, including The Nation correspondent, have reported that a small number of demonstrators showed up in opposition to the widely disseminated news that the Abuja Court had approved Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

When police officers spotted them, they tried to dissuade them from remaining there and instead set up a scene that would make it difficult for the demonstrators to use the short canister of tear gas.

Protesters proceeded to sing and hold banners with other messages, even after the canister was shot.

At the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, the posters were also spotted with great enthusiasm.
