Children’s Day: Anambra First Lady fetes orphanage home children

Nonye Soludo, the wife of the governor of Anambra State, has advocated for increased child welfare, love, and kindness nationwide in order to give kids a feeling of community and confidence that their futures are bright.

As part of the commemoration of Children's Day this year, Soludo made the call on Sunday while she was visiting the Model Community Children Home in Awka, which is home to children without mothers.

She underlined that during this time, children all around the nation, particularly those housed in orphanages, need and deserve love, care, compassion, and pampering.

During the visit, the governor's wife prepared meals for the kids at the house, gave them food, and gave them some relief supplies, including money.
Shortly after the celebration, she addressed reporters, emphasising that regardless of family background, children must be raised with the highest care and protection as they are the future of every nation.

She explained that the visit to the orphanage was in keeping with the essence and spirit of Children's Day, which is a time to spend time with children and help them find greater joy and purpose in life.

"For me, Children's Day is a significant time in a child's life; it's a time to give them a sense of belonging and reassurance that the future is bright," the speaker stated. Regardless of their family history, they must be raised with the highest care and protection since they are the country's future.
We've come here to enjoy their day with them and show them how much we care because of this. The purpose of this visit is to maintain the relevance of the time spent with them, to help them find greater meaning and enjoyment in life. To show them my maternal love, I prepared and served their meals.

They are reassured that they have not been overlooked by society and that they have a bright future by doing this. Beyond the festivities, it's a time to bring attention to problems affecting kids and encourage society to recognise that they are our country's future. Thus, we ought to show our love and concern for their well-being at all times.

She underlined that through a variety of humanitarian initiatives, governments at all levels have increased their efforts to give children safety measures.

"I took this chance to encourage everyone to show the kids some love by making safe and supportive environments where they can learn the truth, absorb God's fear, and always show it," the woman continued.

The Coordinator of the Model Community Children's Home Awka, Rev. Sister Philomena Akuchukwu, expressed her gratitude in a brief statement. She described Mrs. Soludo as a kind, modest, lovely, and God-fearing mother. The orphanage home will keep praying for a better Anambra and the successful reappointment of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as the state governor for a second term.

The governor's wife and her entourage watched the youngsters cook, serve, cut the youngsters's Day cake, play games, and give other presentations during the ceremony.
