Costal highway: Landmark Beach refunds customers after demolition
Customers affected by the Federal Government's recent demolition of some of Landmark Resort Beach's properties can now begin the refund procedure, according to the resort's management.
Refunds are being handled using the Landmark Citizen App, per a statement sent on Friday by Landmark Africa, the parent business of Landmark Resort Beach, on its X account.
Although they appreciated the clients' patience, the management informed them that the volume of requests would cause a delay in the refund process's completion.
We would want to reassure all of you, Landmark Citizens, that we have begun returning money to anyone who have asked for it using the Landmark Citizen App.
We appreciate your patience as we handle a large number of requests, which may take some time. All refund requests will be handled, so please don't worry," the statement said.
On Monday, a section of Victoria Island's Landmark Beach was destroyed to make room for the Lagos-Calabar coastal roadway.
The Landmark Centre infringed upon the Federal Government's right-of-way, according to Minister of Works David Umahi, who has justified the demolition.
In the process, additional beach-related companies like Mami Chula and Breeze Beach Club were destroyed.
