D’Tigress coach Wakama in confident mood ahead Olympics

As the D'Tigress, the African champions, continue their training in their new camp in Germany in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, their head coach, Rena Wakama, has expressed confidence in the team.

"Things have been going well in the camp in the last few days as we have had great practice sessions and the girls are in great spirits," Wakama remarked in a conversation with NBBF media.

"The girls are improving every day and responding well to training." And that's what really counts.
"I have no doubt that the girls will be able to showcase their abilities once we arrive in Paris. Wakama, who guided D'Tigress to a record-tying fourth Afrobasket title in Rwanda last year, continued, "I'm excited and looking forward to the games."

In the interim, the team will play a friendly match against Germany on July 19 in Berlin. On July 21, they will play Serbia in Belgrade; on July 24, they will play Japan in Lille, France.
