Euro 2024: Mbappe suffers broken nose
The French Football Federation has revealed that Kylian Mbappe, the captain of France, had an injury during Monday's 1–0 Euro 2024 victory over Austria, and that he has been diagnosed with a broken nose.
"Kylian Mbappé suffered a broken nose during the second part of the Austria-France held this Monday in Düsseldorf," the FFF stated in a statement on Tuesday.
"The medical staff and Dr. Franck Le Gall treated the French captain first, diagnosing him with a nose fracture," the statement continued.
But the federation said that the striker won't need surgery, which is good news for the 2018 World Cup victors.
"Mbappé will not have surgery anytime soon, but he will receive treatment in the next days.
The statement went on, "A mask will be made for him so that the French national team's number 10 can get ready for his comeback to competition after a period dedicated to treatment."
