Golf: Battle for Nigeria’s No.1 intensifies at eTranzact Classic
More than N20 million in prize money is up for grabs in the second eTranzact Classic, which is scheduled to begin at the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja on Wednesday. The tournament also has the potential to identify a new number one among Nigerian gold professionals.
185 professionals, including category one and club amateur players, have registered for the 54-hole competition, which takes place on the Professional Golf Development Tour platform. It closes on Friday, May 17.
In addition to being the reigning winner of the coveted eTranzact title, Francis Epe leads Nigeria's professional golf rating at the moment. To hold onto his ranking, he is, nevertheless, well-positioned for a strong finish.

Other players are George Inalegwu, Kabiru Haruna Mohammaed, Kamalu Bako, George Inalegwu, and youngster Okoko Godwin, the former top player in Nigeria.
Top entries from West African nations are also present, particularly from Ghanaian PGA players like Bary Yaw, Augustine Manasseh, and Kofi Owusu.
