Hajj 2024: Ogun pilgrims receive praise, advice from NAHCON

About 1.5 million pilgrims from around the globe are nearing the end of their Hajj 2024 preparations. Prince Anofi Elegushi, the Commissioner of Operations for the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, has congratulated Ogun State pilgrims on their successful completion of the Hajj rituals.

Elegushi expressed this congratulations during a quick visit to the Ogun pilgrims' Mina tent, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

The Hajj Commissioner praised the Ogun pilgrims' unwavering devotion and spiritual dedication during the holy journey, stating that their tenacity and devotion were absolutely admirable.

He warned the travellers not to do anything that would render their Hajj before Allah void, emphasising how crucial it is to uphold purity in their intentions and deeds in order to guarantee that their pilgrimage remains accepted and blessed.
"Now is the moment to consider the teachings discovered and to preserve the spiritual elevation obtained from the Hajj. Your prayers are powerful and essential to our country's continued progress and peace. He counselled, "Let the purity and devotion you demonstrated during the Hajj serve as a beacon in your everyday life."

Sheikh Hussein Kehinde Lawal, the Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee for Hajj 2024 in Ogun State, responded by expressing his sincere gratitude for NAHCON's unwavering support and guidance.

He gave his word that the state would maintain the highest standards of honesty and commitment to make sure all pilgrims followed the rules and values of the Hajj through the Ad-Hoc Committee.
Governor Dapo Abiodun received praise for his assistance to the pilgrims during the hajj, particularly in the welfare sector, where the state government gave each of the 934 pilgrims from Ogun State $100 US to make up for any gaps in their travel allowance caused by fluctuations in foreign exchange rates.
