How I met my husband, by Shade Okoya

Shade Okoya, an entrepreneur and billionaire spouse, recently celebrated her 25 years of marriage with Chief Rasaq Okoya by sharing the fascinating story of how they met.

The 47-year-old mother of four stated in an interview with Channels Television that although Chief Okoya's initial meeting was work-related, his motives were everything but professional.

She acknowledged that the proposal had surprised her, calling it "too soon and too sudden."

In addition, Shade Okoya revealed how her family handled Chief Okoya's interest, explaining that at their second meeting, one of his buddies claimed to be familiar with her, indicating an unexpected relationship to her family.

Her grandmother was then told by her uncle of Chief Okoya's plans.

"When I met my husband, it wasn't the typical kind of meeting," the woman remarked. I met him for a very different reason, more professional in nature.I can see now that my husband had his own goals and objectives back then. We had a casual meeting; when he saw me, he was all, "I would like to see you again." When I saw him again, it was just business as usual.

When he said, "I would like to marry you," I thought it was too soon and too abrupt because I hadn't anticipated such a thing. I found out later that his true desire was to have a marriage right away.

"My spouse truly made that move himself; I kept it a secret from the rest of the family. I knew he liked me when we first met, but I wasn't really sure.

"He said he didn't want to waste my time and wasn't into all those long kind of thing when I saw him the second time, and he dropped the question that he wanted to marry me.

"You can see that he doesn't want to joke around and that he has to be straightforward and honest. I was at a loss for words and didn't even respond to him, but I knew at that moment that I wouldn't see him again.

"He was with his friends during that same visit; they usually hang out together, and one of them just showed interest and said he knows me very well. Later on, he realised he knew my mother and my grandmother, so I found out that the man in question was actually my uncle," the woman claimed.
