I’m a proud Nigerian, not from Gabon – Zack Orji

Actor Zack Orji of Nollywood has refuted rumours that he claimed to be from Gabon in response to a podcast clip that went viral on Monday.

The actor looked to be disclosing in the video that he was born in Gabon, making him a citizen of the country in Central Africa.

Orji claims that because of his father's work, Zack was born in Gabon, where he had to travel frequently to different nations.

Orji, however, has strongly refuted the allegation that he is from Gabon and instead asserted his Nigerian ancestry.
Orji stated, "Not too long ago, they said I was dead, and, by God's grace and mercy, it eventually turned out to be a lie from the pit of hell," in a message posted online on Tuesday.

"It has now surfaced, another untruth from the depths of hell, asserting that I declared, 'I'm from Gabon, not Nigeria.'"

"With this statement, I disassociate myself from that falsehood. My parents are Nigerian, hence I am a full-blooded Nigerian.I'm from the coal-city state of Enugu. I take great pride in both my Nigerian nationality and my Nigerian heritage.

"Whoever planted that lie will be dealt with by God Almighty as he sees fit."
