I want to make Nigeria happy, Nwabali says as Super Eagles land into AFCON final

Stanley Nwabali, the custodian for the Super Eagles, has stated that he wants to see happiness among Nigerians following Nigeria's semifinal victory over Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

This was revealed by the Chippa United goalkeeper in an interview that took place on Wednesday after the game.

"I don't really know how I am feeling," he remarked. I only want to make Nigerians happy and feel good because of them, when I look around.

"I give God the glory and want to say a big thank you to everyone, including my coaches here who always guide me and my club, Chippa United family. I did not even expect this to come my way now.
"It's clear to me now that today will be crucial for us in the championship game, but as we all know in football, anything can happen. Hopefully, though.

They have a saying that goes, "You no go gree for anybody." I genuinely want to do more for Nigeria because I adore them all. I appreciate all of the well wishes I've received.

Nigeria advanced to the Africa Cup of Nations final with a thrilling 4-2 victory over South Africa in a penalty shootout during the ongoing competition in Ivory Coast. Nwabali was named man of the match for his performance, saving two penalties.
The Super Eagles’ performance in the AFCON brought Nigeria to the final as they strive to secure another AFCON trophy.

It is the eighth time the Super Eagles will be playing in the AFCON final, having previously appeared in seven. They won three of the final games in 1980, 1994 and 2013, while they lost four in 1984, 1988, 1990 and 2000.
