Man United finalise deal for teenage Colombian midfielder Orozco

Manchester United have completed an agreement to acquire 17-year-old Colombian midfielder Cristian Orozco from Fortaleza CEIF.

The confirmation of this deal was provided by esteemed transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano on Thursday, indicating that the promising player will join the Red Devils in the summer of 2026, once he reaches the age of 18.

Romano stated that all contracts have received approval from United’s legal team, and the arrangement was facilitated by chief scout Gerardo Guzmán Antonaccio.

He mentioned on X, "Manchester United have officially finalized and signed a contract to secure 17-year-old Colombian prospect Cristian Orozco."

Orozco serves as a defensive midfielder and is the captain of Colombia’s Under-17 national team, recognized as a promising talent characterized by his strong intensity and potential.

Last year, he guided his country to the final of the Under-17 South American Championships, demonstrating his leadership and abilities in youth international competitions.

The young player has participated in Colombia’s domestic league with Fortaleza CEIF.

Orozco is part of an expanding roster of young talents at Old Trafford, which includes recent signings such as Sekou Kone and Chido Obi-Martin.
