Mike Bamiloye pays tributes to Abattoir actress Flora
Mike Bamiloye, the founder of Mount Zion Faith Drama Ministry and a well-known drama evangelist, has expressed his profound sadness over the passing of gospel actress Toluwalope Adegboyega-Alagbe, better known as Flora from the "Abattoir" television series.
After suffering injuries in a car accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Motorway in December 2024, Flora, who was renowned for her stirring performances, passed away on February 4, 2025.
Bamiloye reaffirmed his belief in God's plan and the purpose of Christian filmmaking in a moving ode posted on his Facebook page on Thursday, describing her passing as a passage to eternal rest.
"On the battlefield, we are soldiers! Our commander is Jesus! We will respond a million times when He calls our names! Written by Bamiloye.
He said, considering the defeat, "When you pass over to Heaven, you forget all pains and griefs.
“No shaking! Tolu left a great impact and was called home to heaven! We shall continue till the end!”
Despite the grief, Bamiloye emphasised that the mission of faith-based storytelling remains steadfast.
“The devil cannot touch us without God knowing about it! We will not keep quiet! We move! More Abattoirs! More Abejoyes!!!”
The filmmaker encouraged fellow gospel filmmakers to remain dedicated to their calling.
Flora's passing comes after that of Moses Korede Are (Baba Gbenro), another performer from "Abattoir," who passed away in November 2024 and was buried on January 31, 2025.
Joshua, Bamiloye's son, also honoured the late actress on Wednesday with a heartfelt X post.
