Morata seals Como move after Galatasaray loan termination
After his loan agreement with Galatasaray ended, Spain forward Alvaro Morata joined Como of Serie A.
"It is all signed: Álvaro Morata can be considered the new Como player from AC Milan after Galatasaray loan broke," posted Fabrizio Romano on Monday, confirming the deal.
The only thing left to do is complete his registration with his new club, as the loan agreement with Galatasaray has officially terminated.
In order to play a bigger role than he did with the "Rossoneri" the previous season, the 32-year-old striker, who spent the second half of the previous campaign on loan at Galatasaray, has chosen to join Como.
Morata scored six goals and dished out one assist in his 25 official games with the San Siro team last season, 21 of which he started.
He participated in 16 games while in Turkey, tallying seven goals and dishing out one assist.
Morata is seen as a crucial component of Como's strategy as they work to bolster their team and position themselves as a contender in Italian football. In order to register as a Como player, the next step in the procedure will have to come to an agreement with Galatasaray to terminate the present loan agreement early.
