Mother seeks N500,000 for 12-year-old daughter

Jimoh Yetunde, the mother of a 12-year-old girl, has been diagnosed with a kidney disease and has asked Nigerians for help with nephrectomy operation.

A nephrectomy involves removing a kidney whole or in part. Usually, a tumour is removed or kidney cancer is treated.

Her mother claims that N500,000 is desperately needed to preserve her life.
Right Wilms Tumour was the diagnosis of Yetunde's CT scan of his belly and pelvis, which was certified by Dr. Oyedepo, the radiologist at the BT Health and Diagnostic Centre, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.

Kidney tumours such as wilms tumour are nearly always found in youngsters. In youngsters, this disease accounts for over 90% of kidney tumours.

Abdominal pain, blood in the urine, a swollen area or hard mass, etc. are a few of the warning signs and symptoms.

The distressed mother of Yetunde bemoaned how her daughter's illness had affected and caused her anguish and suffering.

She is appealing with the public to provide financial help for the procedure.
