Nigerian sports officials rally behind D’Tigress ahead Olympics quarterfinal showdown

Top representatives from the Federal Ministry of Sports Development paid a visit yesterday to the D'Tigress squad, coaching staff, and President Musa Kidda of the Nigerian Basketball Federation as a sign of support and unity.

John Enoh, the Minister of Sports and Development, revealed this in a statement on X.com on Wednesday.
Enoh claims that the trip, which included acting Director FEADS Mr. Olumide Bamiduro and Permanent Secretary Mrs. Tinuke Watti, sought to energise and encourage the team in advance of today's much awaited Olympic quarterfinal matchup versus Team USA.

In an effort to encourage and uplift D'Tigress before their match later today, the statement read, "Along with Mrs. Tinuke Watti, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Sports Development, the acting Director FEADS, Mr Olumide Bamiduro, we paid a visit to the players, coach, technical crew of D’Tigress, and the President of the Federation, Musa Kidda.
