Osimhen may consider Saudi move – Italian Journalist

Victor Osimhen, a Nigerian international, might think about moving to the Middle East during the upcoming transfer season, according to a daring assertion made by Italian journalist Valter De Maggio.

In their final game of the 2023–24 season, Lecce held the 2022–23 Serie A winners to a goalless draw, while Osimhen was in action for Napoli on Sunday.

The game on Sunday at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium against Lecce may be the Nigerian striker's final outing for the Napoli-based team. He has been linked to a move away from the club.

Osimhen signed a contract with Napoli in the summer of 2020, paying a club record €70 million plus an additional €10 million in bonuses. Since then, he has been playing fantastically for the Parthenopeans.
Oismhen, who has been linked to moves to Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain among others, has emerged as one of Europe's most sought-after strikers.
Speaking on Radio Kiss Kiss, Napoli De Maggio asserted that Osimhen would rather join Arsenal than any other team, but that the Nigerian player might think about moving to the Middle East if the Gunners don't make a move, given his sizable €130 million release clause.

"Osimhen would consider the Arab offer if he didn't receive the Premier League offer." Osimhen would prefer Arsenal over Saudi Arabia if a club were to pay the clause today, according to De Maggio.

Osimhen is currently on vacation following the end of the 2023–24 season. He will re-join the Eagles squad when training begins in preparation for their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and the Benin Republic the following month.
