Passenger dies as car, truck collide in Lagos

After a head-on incident on Friday at Isolo Under bridge within Oshodi, Lagos State, between a car transporting an unidentified female passenger and a stationary 20-foot containerised truck, the woman has been declared dead.

According to a statement from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Channels TV says, the truck and the Kia automobile, registered KWL-475CZ, collided on the highway when the car was moving quickly.

The female passenger in the car perished as a result of the collision's impact, although the driver was hurt.

After being rescued from the car by LASTMA officials and Nigerian Police officers, the deceased victim was bagged and given to the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit for transfer to the mortuary.
The damaged car was moved to the Olosan Police Station, according to the report.

The statement said, "In the interim, we are waiting on the agency's heavy-duty equipment, such as a crane and low bed, to recover the abandoned containerised truck off the road."
