Poland, Ukraine, Georgia secure final Euro 2024 spots

Poland, Ukraine, and Georgia won thrilling play-off matches on Tuesday night, completing the Euro 2024 roster.

The stage is now prepared for the highly anticipated UEFA Euro 2024 competition, which begins on June 14 in Munich, Germany, and ends on July 14 in Berlin with the final.

Poland defeated Wales in a penalty shootout following a goalless draw in both regulation and extra time.

The match culminated with a penalty kick by Polish striker K. Piatek, which put Poland in Group D with the Netherlands, Austria, and France after Wales' C. Mepham was sent out in the 120th minute.
Ukraine secured their spot in the tournament with a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Iceland.

After falling behind to an early goal from A. Gudmundsson, Ukraine rallied back with goals from V. Tsygankov and M. Mudryk in the second half.
Ukraine now plays in Group E with Belgium, Slovakia, and Romania as a result of this victory.
Georgia, meanwhile, created history by winning and going to their first-ever major tournament finals.

After a tight match between Georgia and Greece that ended in a draw after extra time, Georgia won 4–2 in the penalty shootout.

Georgian supporters celebrated after Nika Kvekveskiri's game-winning penalty gave them a position in Group F with Turkey, Portugal, and the Czech Republic.
