Police arrest suspected killer of Abia varsity student

According to the Abia State Police Command, Emmanuel Victor has been taken into custody for the purported March death of Emmanuel Uche, an Abia State University student, in what is thought to have been a cult altercation.

On behalf of the state commissioner of police, Kenechukwu Onwumelie, this information was released in a statement on Thursday by the public relations officer for the state police, ASP Maureen Chinaka.

The statement said, "On November 3, 2024, Emmanuel Uche, a 500-level Abia State University student, was killed in front of Miracle Lodge, Uturu, as shown in a viral video that went viral.

Based on reliable information, today, April 18, 2024, at approximately 1100 hours, a group of police detectives from the Abia State Police Command arrested the main suspect in Isiukwuato, who was shown in the widely circulated video killing of Emmanuel Uche at Miracle Lodge, Abia State University, Uturu.”
The suspect "has confessed to the crime," according to the statement. He is being held legally at this time and will face legal charges.
