Russian strikes kill three in Ukraine
Authorities reported on Wednesday that three persons had died as a result of Russian strikes in southern Ukraine, notably in the Black Sea port of Odesa.
From February 2022, when it began its invasion of Ukraine, Russia has attacked cities every night.
"The adversary targeted the Odesa region's port infrastructure. Regulator Oleg Kiper stated, "Unfortunately, two people were killed—a security guard and a truck driver."
It was unclear if falling debris from downed missiles or direct impacts was what killed the people.
Russia reportedly fired four guided missiles and a ballistic missile towards the southern port, according to the southern defence forces.
"Three enemy Kh-59/Kh-69 missiles did not reach their targets as a result of active countermeasures," it continued.
In a different incident, 62-year-old man lost his life to Russian shelling on the southern city of Nikopol.
The air force said that 14 out of 20 drones launched over Ukraine were destroyed.
The announcement was made two days after 34 people were slain in an unusual daytime attack on the Ukrainian capital, according to an updated death toll provided by Kyiv's military administration.
