Senators Await Abuja Disco To Restore Power Supply

Senators waited for the Abuja energy Distribution PLC to restore the energy supply on Tuesday before the start of the session.
As the MPs awaited the restoration of the power supply, the development caused a partial blackout in the Red Chamber.

A few minutes after power was restored, Senate President Godswill Akpabio will begin plenary.

It is worth noting that the Abuja energy Distribution PLC threatened to cut off the energy supply to 86 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in February due to an outstanding debt of N47.1 billion.

The Ministry of Finance, Information, Budget, Works and Housing, Presidential Villa, Nigeria Police Force, barracks, CBN Governor, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), and state liaison offices are a few of the MDAs.
