Serie A: Atalanta set to sack Jurić amid poor start

Atalanta is reportedly close to parting ways with head coach Ivan Jurić, with Raffaele Palladino set to take over the leadership of the Serie A club.

According to a post on X by Fabrizio Romano on Monday, he stated, "Plan confirmed: Atalanta are on the verge of sacking Ivan Jurić to appoint Raffaele Palladino as the new head coach."

The club, recognized for its attacking style and competitive performances in both domestic and European competitions, has experienced an inconsistent start to the season, prompting management to take decisive action.

Palladino, a former player for Atalanta and currently a youth coach, is anticipated to be officially appointed in the upcoming days. The 41-year-old has established a strong reputation within the club's academy system and is viewed as a promising candidate to stabilize the first team while preserving continuity in Atalanta's playing philosophy.

Ivan Jurić, who previously managed Torino, joined Atalanta with high aspirations of building on the club's recent achievements. However, the team's recent performance has not met expectations, resulting in increasing pressure from both fans and the board.

While Atalanta has not yet made an official announcement, sources suggest that both parties are in the final stages of negotiations to formalize the coaching transition.
