Victor Moses departs Russian club Spartak Moscow
Victor Moses, a former winger for the Super Eagles, left Spartak Moscow of the Russian Premier League.
Victor Moses's exit from Spartak Moscow was made public on the team's official website.
After playing for a while in Italy and Turkey, the former Chelsea star joined the Russian team a few seasons ago.
"Official: At the conclusion of the season, Victor Moses will be departing from Spartak.
"Two-time Russian Championship medalist, Russian Cup victor, and one of the group stage heroes of the Europa League 2021/22."
"We appreciate Victor's years of membership in our club. Good luck and success to you!," the note said.
Before agreeing to a permanent contract, the Nigerian international first joined Spartak on loan. On Sunday, he participated in his last game for the team against Rubin Kazan.
The 33-year-old made 84 appearances in all competitions while at Spartak, scoring 20 goals in the process.
Victor Moses said goodbye to Chelsea after an incredible nine years at Stamford Bridge, becoming him the team's longest-serving first-team player.
He finalised his permanent transfer to Russian club Spartak Moscow in July 2021, bringing an end to his time with the Blues.
Moses had loan stints with six different teams while he was at Chelsea: Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United, Fenerbahce, Inter Milan, and Spartak Moscow.
Moses had a lasting impression at Chelsea despite his short-lived assignments; he left as the Premier League, FA Cup, and Europa League champion with 18 goals in 128 games.
During his trip, he also won the 2007 European U17 Championship as the best scorer.
