We’ll occupy Ajayi Crowther University if justice isn’t served – Ayiri Emami

Ayiri Emami, a politician and businessman from Nigeria, has threatened to take over Ajayi Crowther University in Oyo State, the scene of the beating death of Alex Timileyi, a 200-level student.

Emami criticised Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, and Tahir Mamman, the minister of education, for their inexcusable silence and refusal to close the institution.

In a now-viral video, the leader of the All Progressives Congress made similar claims, demanding justice and pledging not to yet take law into his own hands.

He further revealed that the dead was a prince of Delta State's Warri and Uvwie kingdoms.
This occurred when he persisted in demanding that the governor of Oyo make sure the issue was not ignored.

In the video, Emami exclaimed in Warri pidgin, "Iprobleme, black hour! Itseki. Makinde, I hope that wherever you are, you and the education minister—whether he's my Oga boy (Tinubu)—are hearing me.

"E don happen, E don happen. But if not, they have to pursue this issue all the way to the end.For Warri, the boy (late Alex) was a prince. The boy was born into opposing neighbourhoods, two poor districts combined.

"Anyone familiar with the ministry of information - E thinks the school is still in existence? The school dem think don close am by now. However, we don't intend to enforce the legislation; however, anyone acquainted with the minister and Seyi Makinde should move quickly.

Emami said that if justice isn't done quickly, people will notice his presence.

"They go know me here oo for this pikin wey dem kill for Oyo," he continued. I don't hear as much, but we will show up to the school. We'll be familiar with the school. Good boy like that, huh? And Makinde never gets back to us. Act quickly, Oyo State Government!

In a previous widely shared video, some students allegedly beat Alex to death for stealing a cell phone.

The horrific incident was captured on camera as he was thrashed, left half-naked, rolled around on the ground, and begged for mercy while having his head shaved.
Unverified tidings suggested he was battered for nearly eight hours during the night. Punched for eight hours, Ajayi Crowther Varsity V.C. promises justice for the dead student

The pupils who were charged were subsequently expelled from the school and turned over to the police.

Many people have called for the students to be prosecuted in response to the incident, which has drawn international outrage. Activists condemn the brutal murder of an Oyo private university student.

Prof. Timothy Adebayo, the vice chancellor of the institution, promised on Monday to see to it that justice is done in the instance of a student who was allegedly tortured to death by some of his classmates.

He continued by saying that as the inquiry went on, the authorities were able to pinpoint the main offenders in charge of the attack, the hairshaving, and the video recording.

The Vice-Chancellor affirmed, "As we speak, the boys are with the police in Oyo here and are being taken down to the state police headquarters, Iyaganku." Punched for eight hours, Ajayi Crowther Varsity V.C. promises justice for the dead student

Unverified rumours state that the deceased was the daughter of Olu Erejuwa II (1951–1986) and the son of Princess Antonia Emiko. She was thus an aunt to the present Olu of Warri. Additionally, he was the first cousin of the Olu of the Warri Kingdom, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III.
