The controversy over Singer Portable's recent incident with a minister who was delivering a sermon outside his pub has prompted him to speak.

On Monday, September 16, Portable revealed via an Instagram post that he was severely traumatised after his sister was attacked by a man posing as a priest.

The preacher's actions, according to Portable, gave him reason to think there was another setup.

While expressing regret for his actions, he made clear that his response was a normal one given his anxiety.
According to Portable, "They wanted to set me up." He was not a man of God, and may God pardon me for smacking him if he was. I wouldn't have hit him if I had known he was a genuine man of God. I hit him because of the way he behaved; I'm a flawed human being after all.

He subsequently expressed regret for his deeds.
He issued an apology after being given a three-day ultimatum by gospel singer Testimony Jaga to either apologise to the slapped pastor or face the repercussions of his actions.
