[ICYMI] I want to fight Joshua, says Mike Tyson
Mike Tyson, a legend in boxing, is considering a shocking bout with Anthony Joshua.
In November, the former undisputed heavyweight champion will square off against Jake Paul in a contentious crossover match.
For his first return to the ring since his Covid fight with Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020, Iron Mike has prepared himself perfectly.
Additionally, the 57-year-old International Boxing Hall of Famer has big plans to fight Joshua in a charity match.
He told TMZ, "I'm very interested," when asked about the possibility of sharing the ring with AJ for a worthy cause. If doing so allows us to increase our charitable giving, then fine, I'm willing to do that as well.
"I'd be thrilled to battle Joshua." That would be astounding.
Before Tyson can consider a charity fight with Joshua, he has to overcome Paul, a former YouTuber who is now a boxer. On fight night, Paul will be 31 years younger than Tyson.
Additionally, Joshua, the former two-time unified heavyweight champion, acknowledges that he worries about Tyson's health.
Mike Tyson is older now, the 34-year-old said during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.
"I hope he emerges unscathed. Jake Paul's youth is the only reason, in my opinion.
Boxing fans were incensed about Tyson vs. Paul's booking and openly expressed their distaste for the latter.
Surprisingly though, Joshua enjoys Paul's gimmick-driven bouts.
"I think it's really good," he stated.
"I believe that the reason why the boxing purists are upset is because they question why our sport is being disregarded."However, I believe that person introduces all of these people to boxing, which is advantageous to all of them. Everybody who watches is helpful.
