12 more institutions onboarded for student loan- NELFUND
On Wednesday, the management of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund announced that 12 academic schools operated by state governments have been added to the pool of applicants for student loans.
According to a statement endorsed by Nasir Ayitogo, the Fund's Head of Media and Public Relations, the onboarding process came after the data was successfully submitted and verified to be complete.
"After this most recent addition, the total number of state government-owned postsecondary institutions that are involved has grown to 48 from the initial 36 that were previously disclosed. The statement said, "Students' data from 121 institutions is outstanding."
To ensure that their students can take advantage of the programme, the Fund urged all institutions that have not yet uploaded their student data to the Student Verification Portal to do so.
Additionally, it urged states whose data had been successfully collected and uploaded to encourage their students to apply right away. This would help students who are having financial difficulties and ensure a steady stream of income for the universities.
