Abuja barber who called Davido ‘003’ yet to receive promised N2m

Callistus Okolie, a barber in Abuja who on Sunday ranked Davido as the third-biggest artist in the Nigerian music industry, announced that he had not gotten the N2 million cash present that an X user going by the handle @MrDablue had pledged to give him.

In a phone contact with our journalist on Monday, Okolie disclosed this.

Contrary to rumours, he claims not to have received any money from anyone.

Remember how @MrDablue vowed to donate Okolie N2 million in response to Davido's Sunday social media criticism?
"Who has that barber guy's contact? I'd like to give him two million naira," @MrDablue wrote. Davido is not deity.

"Someone just sent me 200k to add to this, this guy will be rich forever," he continued.

Nevertheless, Okolie declared, "Yes, someone promised to give me N2m, but I have not received any money," reaffirming that he had not received the funds.

"I've not heard from anyone. He has not sent me a note, and I have not received the money. On his X.com website, I gave him my phone number and tagged him in all of my posts.

He mentioned that there might have been a delay because several parody accounts were created in his name.
He went on, "It's a major issue since a lot of individuals have made phoney profiles using my identity. I recently noticed that he made a post in which he questioned why so many individuals were pretending to be me in private messages that he was receiving under my identity.

Not all of the people claiming to be the actual Abuja barber who traded words with Davido, he said.

"I am the actual individual. All I need is someone close to him who can confirm that I am who I say I am. I'm just praying for that right now, which is why I'm tagging him in everything I post," he continued.

Rejecting criticism that he was merely trying to get cheap attention from the "Jaiye Jaiye" crooner, he described Davido as the third-largest musician in the Nigerian music industry and Wizkid as the biggest.

Individuals are free to express themselves. Wizkid has my undying devotion as a fan. That doesn't imply that I don't adore Davido—I do, too, but Wizkid is my biggest idol," he remarked.

Davido responded to Okolie's Sunday assessment of him as the third-biggest musician in the Nigerian music industry by writing, "@kallystouch." I've stored your photo. You could have cut my almost-finished hair if I had travelled to Abuja, but you choose social media. For my last three barbers, I set up shops. That's how the blessing of your generation escaped you. You've missed your generation's blessing, Davido tells the barber who called him (003)

In response, Okolie posted a video saying, "Write it down: FC does not beg." Without a cap, Wizkid is still my 001 in the music business. I didn't say that to be mean or demeaning to anyone. Once more, Davido said in a statement that he was going to Abuja and that I would have been his barber and hair stylist. How would I have done that?

Would I have been your barber had we not already known each other? Had it not been for my remark, would you have responded to me? To be honest, are you familiar with me already? You haven't met me before? First place goes to FC. Other than that, Davido is not my helper and I am not pleading with anyone because, as Portable has previously stated, I will not be stressed out by anyone who assists me.
