Actress Uche Montana denies being Regina Daniels’ drug supplier

Nollywood actress, Uche Montana, has refuted claims associating her with the purported drug abuse crisis involving actress Regina Daniels and her spouse, Senator Ned Nwoko.

The actress conveyed this information in a statement on her Instagram account on Monday, just days after Nwoko, in a comprehensive post on Facebook, accused Regina’s relatives and close associates, including actresses Sonia Uche and Uche Montana, of undermining his wife’s rehabilitation efforts.

Nwoko alleged that this group consistently disregarded medical directives that limited access to Regina during her therapy and would "provide her with the same drugs she was being treated for."

In response, Montana stated, "I have been made aware of a circulating post that seems to associate my name with certain allegations.

“For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace”.

Her statement arises amidst the growing controversy regarding the marriage between Regina Daniels and Senator Nwoko.

Two weeks prior, Regina, in a widely circulated video, claimed that she was enduring domestic abuse and referred to herself as a "slave" within her husband's household.

In response, Nwoko refuted her allegations, asserting that his wife was struggling with "drug and alcohol addiction" and accused her of exhibiting violent behavior towards their domestic staff.

In her own social media posts, Regina accused Nwoko of being hypocritical, asserting that he was the one who introduced her to the substances he now attributes to her current state.

She claimed that he encouraged her drug use, confined her, confiscated her phones, and imposed himself on her whenever she resisted.
