Adeboye disowns AI-generated videos on drugs, scholarships
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has publicly distanced himself from a series of AI-generated videos that inaccurately link him to drug promotions and scholarship offers.
These misleading videos, which have been circulating on social media, have misled many individuals by falsely connecting the pastor to these claims.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page on Wednesday, March 26, Adeboye emphasized that he is not associated with any such promotions and urged his followers to be wary of these deceptive schemes aimed at exploiting their trust.
The statement reads: “I have become aware of troubling AI-generated videos circulating online that falsely promote certain drugs and scholarships intended to deceive and mislead individuals.
“These videos do NOT originate from me, and I want to clarify that I have no connection to such promotions. I implore all of you, my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, to remain vigilant and not succumb to these fraudulent schemes.
“They are crafted to take advantage of your trust for selfish purposes. Please refrain from sharing or engaging with these posts. I encourage you to report these fake accounts and videos immediately across all social media platforms. Together, we can prevent the further spread of such deception.
“The malicious actions by ‘Africa Health Centre’ and ‘Church-Funded Scholarships’ are currently being addressed by the appropriate authorities, as we will not permit God’s name to be misused for such malevolence.
“Let us continue to uphold the truth, walk in love, and stay focused on the authentic work of the Kingdom.”
