Arsenal won’t pay more than €75m for Osimhen
Although Arsenal is unwilling to pay Victor Osimhen's €120 million release clause set by Napoli, they are still interested in signing him.
Since Napoli expects Osimhen to be in high demand this summer, they set a release clause to protect his market value. Osimhen is still considered one of the best strikers in Europe.
The striker is currently waiting for possible clubs to make a move after reaching an agreement with Napoli to leave if a suitable offer is made.
After failing to sign RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, Arsenal is looking to add another striker, and Osimhen is a serious contender.
Nevertheless, a report on Calcio Napoli24 claims that Arsenal does not plan to pay the entire release clause. They're ready to provide €75m to secure the former Lille striker.
They are making Napoli a take-it-or-leave-it offer, and this sum represents their maximum offer.
One of the best strikers available right now is Osimhen, a Nigerian player who is expected to leave Napoli this summer.
He will score more goals for us and is more productive than any of our current options, but he is not worth €120 million, and we shouldn't be pressured into spending that much on him.
