BREAKING: Betta Edu arrives EFCC office for grilling

Dr. Betta Edu, the suspended minister of poverty alleviation and humanitarian affairs, has arrived at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters to face questions regarding allegations of N585 million in fraud within her ministry.

Remember that President Bola Tinubu suspended Edu on Monday?
The humanitarian fund was allegedly paid into the minister's personal account.

Grants to vulnerable groups in the states of Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Cross River, and Ogun were intended to be paid out with the N585 million.

Following the swearing-in of members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in August of last year, Edu is the first minister to be suspended from office.

Details to follow.
