Eid-el-Kabir: FG declares Friday, Monday public holidays
In honor of this year's Eid-ul-Adha festival, the Federal Government has announced Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays.
In a statement released Monday on behalf of the Federal Government, Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo made this announcement.
In addition to congratulating all Muslims in Nigeria and the Diaspora on the milestone, the minister urged the Ummah to keep up Prophet Ibrahim's (Peace be upon Him) example of selflessness, obedience, and faith.
Additionally, Tunji-Ojo urged Nigerians to use the Eid season to offer prayers for the nation's peace, harmony, and prosperity.
"The minister reassured Nigerians that the people-oriented reforms and initiatives implemented in support of President Bola Tinubu's administration's Renewed Hope Agenda will put Nigeria back on the route to progress."
"The minister asked all Nigerians to join hands with the current administration in its efforts to restore the grandeur of Nigeria as a great nation," the statement continued, wishing the Muslim Ummah a joyful Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
