FG extends civil service recruitment deadline to March 17

The Federal Government has announced an extension of the application deadline for the Federal Civil Service until March 17, 2025.

The Federal Civil Service Commission first introduced the recruitment initiative on January 27, 2025, providing over 70 job opportunities across various ministries, departments, and agencies.

However, numerous citizens expressed frustration regarding difficulties in accessing the recruitment portal, leading to widespread requests for an extension.

Hassan Taiwo, spokesperson for the FCSC, acknowledged that some applicants faced technical challenges, but he also noted that many others were able to register without issues.

In an advertisement released in two national newspapers and shared by Taiwo on Monday, the commission confirmed that the new deadline replaces the earlier date of March 10, 2025.

The revised information can now be accessed on the FCSC website as well as in the newspapers The Sun and The Nation dated Monday, March 10, 2025, along with Daily Trust from Tuesday, March 11, 2025.

Eligible Nigerians are encouraged to seize this opportunity and submit their applications for the open positions.

The Commission guarantees a recruitment process that is both merit-based and transparent, it stated.
